Actitivies to be carried out from August 30th to September 6th, 2010

Congratulations on your hard work completing the activities in our Blog last week!!! Keep it up like that.

After having read the seven chapters and commented about them within your groups, now it is time to read the sample studies carefully found at the end of each chapter. The same groups of last week`s activity will work together again on the same chapter. You will post your comments for your group by clicking on the LINKS under the names of GROUP 1, GROUP 2, etc. You will work on the sample study of your assigned chapter.

Instructions to carry out this task:

1- After having read the sample study of your chapter, the students in the groups will comment on the following questions:

a. How feasible is it to carry out a similar research by using this research method and approach based on the reality of the Department of Foreign Languages?

b. What are (the problems) you would be interested in researching with this method and approach? Answer this question having in mind a possible undergraduate research project you would eventually carry out in the near future.

c. What problems would you solve by using this research method and approach in our department of foreign languages based on your possible undergraduate research project?

d. What other research method/s or approach/es would you combine this research method and approach with for your possible undergraduate research project? Explain the reasons of your possible combination with other approaches. (to answer this question you should read all the summaries on all the Research Methods and Approaches posted in the Blog last week)

2- Each student in the assigned groups will post the answers to these questions by Wednesday y 2nd of September.

3- From Thursday 3rd to Monday 6th of September, you must comment on the answers of you classmates in the group. This time you decide what to comment.
